The Marina condo project focused on upgrading all existing finishes and maximizing the experience of the space. The primary design decisions involved removal of the existing kitchen walls to connect an open plan to the living room. To further expand the feel of the space, the existing exterior doors were replaced with pocketing sliding glass doors. When fully open, the living room expands to the edge of the balcony, overlooking views of the lagoon.

The client's eclectic style combined colorfully detailed tile patterns with contemporary simple lines. One of the major programmatic components of this project was intentionally integrating the client's art collection into the space. In schematic design we developed a concept of the long hallway as a gallery. Track lighting was designed through the hall to maximize lighting control for the paintings and we carved out a nook for built-in, lit shelving to showcase sculptures.
